News

  • :id_button: We have modified the specifications for Feed Audit - for Google formats, we audit the length of the ID element value (it must be longer than 50 characters).
  • :eye_in_speech_bubble: Changes for the Mergado XML element VISIBILITY
(preparation for Mergado XML version 1.12):
  • We have expanded it with new possible states: hidden, visible, blocked, showRegistered, blockUnregistered, cashDeskOnly, detailOnly, archived.
  • We have modified the converters for its correct conversion from/to many formats.
  • :green_apple: When creating a project with the Google Product Reviews output format, the following are now also automatically created:
  • Selection of Empty "content" element for output with the MQL condition content = "".
  • Rule Hide items without the "content" element, which targets this selection. By default, this rule is disabled, but the user can enable it.
  • :articulated_lorry: In the Set shipping price rule, we fixed a bug that could occur when the rule was supposed to set the price for a carrier (e.g., DPD Pickup) that was already present in the product data. In such a case, the rule set new prices for the existing record for the given carrier, but another element with the meaning DELIVERY was created for the same carrier - without prices.
  • :red_apple: We are improving the creation and editing of automations (formerly macros).
  • Automation actions can now be moved, i.e. their order can be changed. At the same time, a check is performed to ensure that the change in order does not lead to an invalid sequence of actions.
  • Parameters and actions that are used in subsequent actions can now not be (accidentally) deleted.
  • Filtering now works in the automation editor’s suggestion of possible values.
  • :star: We have consolidated the filtering options on the Elements page—now via a single Filter button, under which the following options are available:
  • Input values: All, With values, Without values.
  • Output values: All, With values, Without values.
  • Visibility: All, Visible, Hidden.
  • Origin: All, Manual, From rule, From input.
  • :information_source: We have added help text for smart insertion mode to the rules form to better explain what this mode does. See also our blog post.
  • And other minor fixes and improvements.

:wrench: Platform

  • The app detail page X in the Mergado Store will now automatically redirect to the app detail page Y if all of the following conditions are met:
  1. App X is marked as deprecated.
  2. App Y is marked as the successor to the deprecated app X.
  3. The user is not logged in. (A logged-in user may want to manage (turn off) app X for their entities.)

  • For the CONDITION_DESC element, we validate the maximum number of characters.
  • For the SALES_VOUCHER | CODE element, we check the maximum length of 24 characters.
  • For the SALES_VOUCHER | TEXT element, we check the maximum length of 128 characters.
  • For the CATEGORYTEXT element, we check the maximum length of 500 characters.
  • :green_apple: We have added additional language versions of TikTok formats: Bulgaria :bulgaria: , Croatia :croatia: , Estonia :estonia: , Iceland :iceland:, Lithuania :lithuania: , Luxembourg :luxembourg: , Latvia :latvia: , Slovakia :slovakia: , Slovenia :slovenia: , Jordan :jordan: , Lebanon :lebanon: , Argentina :argentina: , Uruguay :uruguay:.
  • :information_source: In the Mergado user interface, we displayed a box with information about the application of rules that were currently in progress, if any. We now also display this box for importing input data and exporting output data.
  • :cherries: In the new project creation wizard and also in Keychain, we have improved the reporting of various errors with connecting to Shopify (e.g., about an invalid access token entered into the Shopify API).
  • :warning: In Keychain, we now use different colors to distinguish errors with connecting to Heureka (e.g., invalid login credentials) and connection problems (e.g., additional information, such as the product range report, could not be obtained correctly from Heureka, even though the login to Heureka itself works).
  • :hammer: We have corrected the value for elements with Mergado XML meaning CONDITION, which we had incorrectly refubrished instead of the correct refurbished.
  • :detective: For feed audits, we have modified and improved some error descriptions.
  • And other minor fixes and improvements.

:wrench: Platform

  • We have updated the documentation for the new project prefill wizard and added a template for the new project creation button.
  • See Mergado Apps : Additional Integrations
  • We have modified the table on the Entities page in Developers - clicking on the entity name in the main column now leads to the app viewport in the context of that entity.

You may experience minor outages of Mergado during this time. Thank you for your understanding and patience during the deployment of the new version.

News

  • :glowing_star: :tear_off_calendar: Mergado has a new rule called “Add days to date.”

    • Using this rule, you can set the date in the target element in the format of your choice, where the resulting date will be <today's date> + <number of days to add>.
    • :clipboard: Within a single rule, you can target multiple different queries, where <number of days to add> is set separately for each query.
    • Currently available formats:
      Format Description
      YYYY-MM-DD Year-Month-Day (ISO 8601 standard)
      YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS Date and time with “T” separator (e.g. 2025-06-24T12:46:12)
      YYYY/MM/DD Year/Month/Day with slashes
      DD/MM/YYYY Day/Month/Year (European format)
      MM/DD/YYYY Month/Day/Year (American format)
      YYYYMMDD Compact format without separators
      DD.MM.YYYY Day.Month.Year
Unix timestamp Number of seconds since January 1, 1970 (for systems and APIs)
  • :hourglass_not_done: We have added the option to view your user history—that is, your history as the currently logged-in user.

    • The history is available on the User Details page, which you can access by clicking on your avatar in the upper right corner of the Mergado interface.

:information_source: You will not find this history in the left main menu (at least for now).

    • In this history, you will find information about various actions performed by your user, such as:
      • user login,
      • creation/editing/deletion of projects or online stores,
      • setting permissions within the online stores,
      • turning apps (extensions) on/off,
      • audits performed,
      • etc.
  • :gear: As part of this release, we are adding additional computing power for more frequent regeneration of your projects.

  • :red_apple: Via the information box that displays the progress of the currently running process (import, rule application, export), if any is running, the user can now click through to the details of the process in the context of the entire regeneration, rather than just the details of the individual process.

    • This means that when the user monitors the details of applying rules, which is then completed and followed by export, they will now also see the export that has started, and not just the completed “separate” applying rules.
  • :puzzle_piece: Custom format: In the format creation/editing form, we only display the “Pre-fill according to” field if the user has access to another custom format.

  • :antenna_bars: We have fixed the behavior of the app rating form (extension) that appears after it is turned off. The form incorrectly disappeared even if the user did not enter a “star” rating, which is required when submitting the form.

  • And other minor changes and improvements.

Platform :wrench:

  • We have completely removed formats that have not been supported for a long time: amazon (all localizations), cenuj (all localizations), cj.es, cj.se, emag.pl.csv, heureka.cz.kosik, idealo.es, idealo.it, ladenzeile.de, pricegrabber.uk, pricerunner.at, pricerunner.de, pricerunner.fr, shopalike.at.csv, shopalike.de.csv, shopalike.dk.csv, shopalike.es.csv, shopalike.fr.csv, shopalike.fr.xml, shopalike.it.csv, shopalike. nl.csv, shopalike.pt.xml, shopalike.se.csv, shopalikenew.at.csv, shopalikenew.at.xml, shopalikenew.de.xml, shopalikenew.dk.csv, shopalikenew.es.csv, shopalikenew.es.xml, shopalikenew.fi.csv, shopalikenew.fi.xml, shopalikenew.fr.csv, shopalikenew.fr.xml, shopalikenew.it.xml, shopalikenew.nl.csv, spartoo.at, stileo.it, stileo.ua, twoperformantcom (all localizations), zbozi.cz.vendor.

You may experience minor Mergado outages during this time. Thank you for your understanding and patience during the deployment of the new version.

News

  • :red_apple: We’re introducing a new feature: Projects now have the option to enable Product authorization.
    • In this mode, newly imported products are automatically hidden and placed in a pending approval queue.
    • Products awaiting approval can be viewed on a new tab on the Products page, where you can either approve or reject them.

  • :check_box_with_check: Approved products will be made visible, while rejected products will remain hidden.
  • You can enable Product authorization on the Project Settings page.

  • When this mode is enabled, a new block will appear on the project overview page, showing the status of pending, approved, and rejected products.

  • :green_apple: We have updated the converters to Shopify CSV formats.
    • Values in the Handle element are now converted in a way that ensures they can be safely used as a slug.
      • This includes removing diacritics (e.g., ě → e), converting to lowercase, replacing all invalid characters (spaces, punctuation) with hyphens, etc.
    • Fixed the default value for the Variant Inventory Tracker element – it is now shopify instead of Shopify.
    • The default value for Variant Requires Shipping is now true.
  • :man_mage: In the new project creation wizard, the input format selected by the user is now automatically pre-filled as the output format as well (you can still choose a different output format if needed). This had not been working for some time.
  • :star: In Automations (formerly Macros), you can now create almost all types of rules using actions.
  • :calc: In the form for Calculation-type rules, we have added validation for the entered expression. If the expression contains an error (e.g., missing % in an element name, or attempting to calculate with text), the user will see a warning.
  • :hammer: Fixed a bug that could occur if a user changed the type of an existing rule to Hide Product. In such cases, saving changes could fail.
  • :reorder: On the Rules page, sorting rules could behave incorrectly if the user tried to sort them right after deleting a rule. This has now been fixed.
  • We also fixed an issue on the User History page, where for some history record types, the link to the relevant app’s detail page in the Mergado Store was not generated correctly.
  • And many other small fixes and improvements.

You may experience minor outages in Mergado during the release window. Thank you for your understanding and patience while we deploy the new version.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

News :rocket:

  • Heureka conversions: Mergado now automatically retrieves the Heureka API key and supports the new method of conversion tracking. You no longer need to enter the key manually. :key:

    • Applies only to users who have Heureka and Mergado connected via Keychain.:link:
  • Advanced rounding::abacus:
The rules “Round number” and “Calculation” now allow you to select new rounding types:

    • Round up (always to the nearest higher value)
    • Round down (always to the nearest lower value)
    • To 0 or 0.5 (to the nearest value ending with 0 or 0.5)
    • End in 0.9 (round to the nearest value ending in .9)
    • End in 0.99 (round to the nearest value ending in .99)
  • Whitespace display in rules: Rules now clearly show both regular and non-breaking spaces in fields, helping you spot unwanted characters. :magnifying_glass_tilted_left:

  • Shoptet format: Update of the Shoptet Complete format – support for recycling fees. :recycling_symbol:

  • Added elements related to recycling fees (category, price, currency, and type).

  • Automation – Add days to date: The rule for adding days to a date is now available in automations as well. :robot:

  • Notifications: Choose whether you want to receive messages by email, in the app, or both. The settings are now unified across the entire system.:bell:

Platform :wrench:

  • API – new permission:
We have added new OAuth2 scopes that allow retrieving information about enabled extensions for entities via the API :locked_with_key::

    • project.apps.read: read information about apps enabled in a project
    • eshop.apps.read: read information about apps on a specific e-shop
    • user.apps.read: read information about apps for a user
    • Endpoints protected by these scopes return information such as app_name, paid_until, free_until.
    • If you are implementing an integration, set the correct scope for data access based on the entity type (project, e-shop, user).
  • Heureka – we have added a PROXY endpoint enabling access to the Heureka API (using the obtained API key) :repeat_button::

Bug Fixes :hammer_and_wrench:

  • Fixed truncation of product names when importing from Shopify – names are now saved correctly. :white_check_mark:
  • Fixed a backend error when applying selected products. :white_check_mark:

You may experience minor outages of Mergado at the specified time. Thank you for your understanding and patience during the deployment of the new version. :warning:

What’s New in Rules

  • :green_apple: :star_struck: The Import Data File rule now supports importing XML files!
    • We’ve also improved the workflow for setting up this type of rule.
  • :mouse: In the Rules list, extension (app) rules now include a direct link to the corresponding extension.
  • :rocket: When creating a new rule, a new selection screen is displayed, allowing users to:
    • Start creating a new rule with a specific rule type already selected.
    • See which rules are provided by extensions (apps) – with the option to enable such an extension directly in the project.
  • :tear_off_calendar: In the Add Days to Date rule form, we improved validation for entered numbers and refined the error messages.
  • :label: In the Set Product Parameters rule form, the last empty row (used to add new rows) was not being displayed. This has now been fixed.
  • :hammer: Fixed a bug in the Merge Variants rule for Shopify CSV formats, where Option Name and Option Value elements were exported with empty values, which Shopify does not accept.
  • :elements: Fixed a bug in the rules form that could occur when saving a rule during element-path validation, if the element path contained nested conditions.

Other News

  • :red_apple: :star: Improvements to Product Authorization (Product Approval)
    • Fixed an issue where, after enabling the authorization mode in an already existing project, it was not possible to approve or reject products that had been imported before the mode was enabled. Products now behave as follows when authorization is turned on:
      • All currently existing products are considered approved, except those that were previously rejected and manually hidden – these remain rejected.
      • Newly imported products are set as pending approval (they are hidden and queued for user review).
      • All products, regardless of when they were first imported, can now be approved or rejected.
    • :vertical_traffic_light: When authorization mode is turned off in a project:
      • Items that were pending are considered approved from that moment.
      • Items that were rejected remain manually hidden.
      • Items that were approved remain visible (not manually hidden).
    • Approval or rejection actions for products are now saved into the project history.
    • Fixed an issue where the product name and price were not displayed in the product approval overview table when the input format was Shopify.
  • :brain: We continue improving our format detection algorithms – adding many new signals to help identify formats more accurately.
  • :package: In the new project wizard, Shoptet formats now clearly offer the option to either split variants into separate items, or keep variants nested within a single item.
  • :globe_with_meridians: When enabling an extension (app) through the “ministore” (the Mergado Store page displayed under a specific e-shop or project) using the Activate button, users are now redirected directly into the newly enabled extension.
    • In the traditional Mergado Store (where extensions can be managed across multiple entities on one page), behavior remains unchanged – no redirect after activation.
  • :adhesive_bandage: Fixed an issue in the Mergado Store extension detail where the left-hand main menu could overlap screenshots. This no longer happens.
  • Fixed a number of smaller bugs and added various minor improvements.

:warning: Please note: During the rollout, you may experience minor service interruptions in Mergado. Thank you for your understanding and patience while the new version is deployed.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

News :rocket:

  • :glowing_star: :green_apple: In the project settings, you can now set a time zone for the regeneration schedule.

  • :shopping_cart: We have updated the Kaufland format specifications:

    • Kaufland Offer has a new element: eco_participation.
    • Kaufland has new elements: is_smart_device, smart_device_manufacturer_information_url, repairability_index, repairability_index_calculation, durability_index, durability_index_calculation.
  • Two new Keychain connection options are available:

    • Shoptet
      • :information_source: Thanks to this connection, extensions (apps) will be able to access your orders within Shoptet.
    • Eshop-rychle.cz
      • :information_source: Thanks to this connection, extensions (apps) will be able to access your Order API within Eshop-rychle.cz.
  • :avocado: As part of improving input feed format detection, we’ve enhanced detection for various formats, e.g.:

    • :estonia: Google Merchants [EE]
    • :united_kingdom: Google Merchants [UK]
    • :greece: Google Merchants [GR]
    • :sweden: Google Merchants [SE]
  • :red_apple: In the new project wizard, we improved UX when returning to the step for setting a custom format – it now displays the format you previously configured.
  • :star_struck: We simplified and streamlined the Mergado Editor home page for new users (without any e-shop yet).
  • :hammer: Fixed enabling extensions (apps) on the Apps page for users who only have one e-shop/project. In certain situations, enabling an extension and the subsequent page redirect did not behave correctly.
  • :hammer_and_pick: Fixed an issue when exporting to Google Sheets, which occurred if an element contained a value longer than 50,000 characters. Since Google Sheets doesn’t support this, the value is now truncated.
  • :hungary: In feed audits, we improved Hungarian texts and translations.
  • We also fixed several minor bugs.

Platform :wrench:

  • If a user creates a Shoptet connection in Keychain, the endpoint with shop information will now include the order report URL.
  • Added an endpoint as a proxy for accessing the Eshop-rychle API:
    • Available if the user creates an Eshop-rychle connection in Keychain.
    • Allows sending requests to the Eshop-rychle API via Mergado, which adds authentication to the “proxied” request.
    • Example: https://api.mergado.com/shops/<id>/eshop-rychle/proxy/<path>
    • Documentation: Mergado · Apiary

:warning: Please note: During the rollout, you may experience minor service interruptions in Mergado. Thank you for your understanding and patience while the new version is deployed.
