Feed Image Editor - Release notes

Get rid of watermarks in bulk with the help of AI :broom:

Released - Date and Time: 14/9/2023 09:56

Over the past few months, we’ve added a bunch of great features to the Feed Image Editor app, and we’re excited to introduce them to you. One of the biggest updates is option to remove watermarks in bulk, expanded background removal options, and automatic product image cropping. We’ll walk you through all of these in detail below.

Remove watermarks in bulk with the help of AI in Feed Image Editor :mechanical_arm:

You no longer need to manually remove watermarks on each image. Feed Image Editor now offers an innovative feature that detects and removes them in bulk and automatically, using artificial intelligence, for all your product images.

:bulb:
You can find the complete process in the article on AI tools for bulk and automatic removal of watermarks from product images.

If your product images have multiple types of watermarks, check out the guide on Remove different kinds of watermarks from your product images with AI. This is especially useful when your online shop features product images from various suppliers.

Adjust watermark removal sensitivity :one::two::three:

Similar to background removal, you can choose from three levels of watermark removal sensitivity. Sensitivity ensures that watermarks are removed completely without leaving any residue or, conversely, without removing any part of the product.

You can adjust the sensitivity in the fourth step of the Feed Image Editor app.

Individual image editing after watermark removal :wrench:

If the option to change the watermark removal sensitivity doesn’t work for some of your product images, you have the choice of manual editing. In the Preview section, select a template for watermark removal and the product image you need to fine-tune.

You can find the complete guide in the article on Watermark removal using artificial intelligence: manual adjustment of results.

Individual image editing after background removal :heavy_plus_sign::heavy_minus_sign:

The principle is the same as for individual editing after watermark removal. In the Preview section, select a template for background removal. Choose an image where the result doesn’t match your expectations and adjust the product’s contours. You can either erase or add elements around the product.

Automatic product image cropping :scissors:

You’ll find this setting in the third step. Along with the active background removal feature, the product will automatically fill the entire image according to the crop.

Vertical text orientation

From now on, you have the option to write text vertically in graphic templates, not just horizontally or in a circle. This adds more dynamics to your design. You can find this feature in the seventh step.

:wrench: In addition to these updates, we’ve also fixed minor bugs. If you have any further ideas for improving the app, don’t hesitate to message us at support@feedimageeditor.com. :mailbox:

Released - date and time: 26/3/2024 11:20

Quick overview of the updates:

  • New initial setup wizard
  • Option to preserve input format of images on output
  • Optimization (minor adjustments in the app)

We’ve made the initial setup of Feed Image Editor easier for novice users. Another new feature is the ability to preserve the original image format on output. We describe exactly what this is below.

New initial setup wizard :new:

To make the first setup of our app as easy as possible, we’ve improved the introductory wizard. In 4 steps, you fill in all the essential settings and get started on creating your first great template that will go into your ad.

Option to preserve input format of images on output ®️

If your input product images are of good quality and you don’t want to change their format, just remove the background for example, tick the Keep the original format box in the second step.

With this setting, you cannot add graphic layers to the template. You can use AI super effects - Remove Background, Remove Watermarks, or Upscale.

:wrench: In addition to these new features, we’ve been working on fixing minor bugs.

If you have any other ideas to improve the app or questions on how to use it, feel free to book a free 30-minute consultation with our product owner Marek Danek. :phone:

New feature: Visual Similarity :paperclips:

Released: 29/8/2024 14:21

Quick overview of updates:

  • new feature for searching visually similar images
  • choice between two methods of watermark removal
  • enhanced GIF creation from both primary and alternate images
  • unlimited source image rotation
  • option to import templates when starting a new project
  • speed and stability optimizations

The major update in Feed Image Editor is the “Visual Similarity” feature, which finds visually similar products to those in your feed. Offering visually similar products can boost sales and average order value by providing customers with alternatives to the original items. It also enhances the customer experience, making it easier to navigate the online store and reducing the likelihood of abandoned carts. Additionally, visually similar products optimize search and navigation, increasing customer satisfaction and the competitiveness of your online store.

Visual Similarity :paperclips:

This feature allows you to offer visually similar products within your catalog.

You can find it in step 4 under AI tools. You can choose the number of similar images (up to 20) and set the similarity index from 0.05 to 1 (the higher the value, the greater the similarity, with 1 returning identical images).

You can save the search results in the output feed as similar product IDs and URLs of similar images.

:wrench: Besides these updates, we’ve focused on fixing minor bugs and optimizing speed and stability.

Outpainting: a revolutionary AI feature for editing product images :rocket:

Outpainting completely changes the way you’ve been editing product images. With one click, it automatically fills in missing parts of the image background caused by cropping and adjusting to different formats.

If you have input images shot in portrait (for example, an Instagram story) and need to adjust them in landscape (for example, an Instagram post), just click the desired format and Outpainting will draw the missing scene. This gets rid of the unprofessional white bars on the sides. :art:

Outpainting in Feed Image Editor

You’ll find the feature in the fourth step among the AI features. It works in bulk and in one click.

Is Outpainting what you need? You can read more about our new feature in the article Outpainting: revolutionary AI feature for editing product images.
