We are excited to announce the release of a new major version of the Mergado Pack plugin! This version brings a host of new features, fixes, and improvements. :tada:

:warning: The main change involves the configuration of advertising systems—Google (GAds, GUA, GTM), Facebook, Glami, and Biano pixel. There has been an update in the VAT processing within the product price settings. All events now follow the checkbox setting instead of the store’s default settings.

 
NEWS: :new:

  • Added custom actions mergado_product_feed__before and mergado_product_feed__after for use before and after product feed generation.
  • Custom JS event mmp_ga4_add_to_cart added.
  • Biano / Facebook / Google – New option to enable/disable composite product ID e.g. productId-variantId.
  • GA4 – Added toggle option for provided events.
  • Product feed – added shipping label field - The shipping class abbreviation is transferred within the Mergado XML to the <SHIPPING_LABEL> element.
  • Google Ads – Added option to select business type: retail / custom.

 
IMPROVEMENTS: :chart_with_upwards_trend:

  • GTM/GA4 – Product detail view event moved to occur after product click event.
  • GA4 – Add to cart event now supports product_id parameter if add-to-cart doesn’t exist.
  • Google Reviews – Lazy loading added for select box in settings to reduce load times and prevent timeout errors.
  • Added function to fix or log badly encoded data in product feed generator.

 
BUGFIXES: :wrench:

  • Corrected data fetching for parameterized URLs of variable products across multiple services.
  • Partial resolution of event issues in cart / checkout when using WooCommerce Gutenberg blocks instead of shortcodes.
  • Product detail – product object bug

We have, of course, updated support for the Mergado Pack plugin to the latest versions of WordPress v6.7 and WooCommerce v9.4.0. :sunglasses:
